The journey of XCL ASB Sukhumvit began with the establishment of Didyasarin International Kindergarten by Mrs. Lakhana Tavedikul. Named after her family, the kindergarten started with only 10 students and quickly gained recognition as one of the top kindergartens in Thailand. Its nurturing environment and focus on quality education earned the trust of parents, many of whom encouraged the expansion of the school to accommodate older students.
Didyasarin International Kindergarten had grown into Didyasarin International School, serving pre-kindergarten through middle school students. With approval from the Ministry of Education, the school expanded its Sukhumvit campus to accommodate 500 students. The growing demand for a full academic program led to further development, and plans for a second campus began to take shape.
The American School of Bangkok (ASB) entered a new chapter by joining the XCL Education network. This collaboration expanded the school’s global reach and enhanced its ability to deliver future-focused education. The partnership ensured access to shared resources, best practices, and innovative learning opportunities for students, while reaffirming its position as a leader in international education in Thailand.
XCL ASB Sukhumvit unveiled 'The New ASB', marking a transformative milestone in its 40-year journey. With this renewed identity, the school introduced modernized facilities, enhanced environmental standards, and cutting-edge academic resources, ensuring students are equipped to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
'The New ASB' also placed a greater emphasis on alumni engagement through internship programs, strengthened communication between parents and teachers, and expanded opportunities for experiential learning. The new branding, including a refreshed logo, symbolizes a bold step forward while honoring its legacy of trust, inspiration, and innovation.
